Invisalign aligners are clear plastic aligners that an Invisalign dentist uses to help their patients straighten their teeth. When the patient comes in for a consultation, the Invisalign dentist will examine their mouth and take a 3D scan of the mouth. This is used to come up with a customized plan to straighten the patient’s teeth.
Once the plan has been agreed upon and the patient has been shown how their teeth will gradually move into the desired position, the dentist will send the scan to a laboratory where a tray of customized aligners will be made for the patient. When the aligners are ready, the dentist will ask the customer to pick up the aligners and provide instructions on how they are to be used.
